Strategies for Success on the SAT: Mathematics Section has received
much praise.
"The writing, especially in the introductory chapters, is engaging and easily comprehensible. The reading level is fine and the material is presented in an interesting way. There are several creative questions on the new
topics," observes one mathematics instructor and fellow test prep author.
"The author has a beguiling sense of humor which will appeal to
students," she notes. The historical math tidbits and anecdotes that precede some of the explanations are unique to this test prep book and brighten material that students usually find dull and difficult to navigate.

Strategies for Success on the SAT: Critical Reading & Writing
Sections, the companion volume for the mathematics guide, has also received favorable reviews.
"The writing style is straightforward and instructional. It is chock-full of information and contains very thorough explanations. I particularly like the bullet lists that start off each of the two verbal sections. I also like the summaries that appear at the end of the chapters within these
sections," observes an English instructor who formally evaluates test preparation manuscripts.
"This book features a wealth of information, much of it presented in chart format, bullet lists, and enumerated
lists," she continues. "Another strength is that this book not only gives answers to questions, it also gives detailed explanations for why answer choices are correct or incorrect. Bullet lists indicate contents of each chapter and summary lists at the end of each chapter provide an organizational feature that adds a user-friendly quality to the book. On the whole, the scholarship and usefulness of this book rate very
high."
